The EnGenius EAP-3660 802.11g Long Range Multi-function Access Point is a smoke detector looking Wireless Access Point / Universal Repeater / WDS that operates seamlessly in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum supporting the 802.11b (2.4GHz, 11Mbps) and faster 802.11g (2.4GHz, 54Mbps) wireless standards. It also supports SuperG 108Mbps high speed feature (SuperG speed is available with SuperG clients). It's the best way to add wireless capability to your existing wired network or to add bandwidth to your wireless installation. This device features high transmitted wireless output power and receive sensitivity along with antenna diversity. High output power and high sensitivity can extend wireless range and coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points and to provide a reliable more stable wireless connection. It also reduces the total cost of ownership of equipment in the same environment. To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filtering lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. In addition, the User Isolation function can protect the private network between client users. This business class device is a Long Range Multi-function Wireless Access Point / Universal Repeater / WDS (Wireless Distribution System) that operates seamlessly in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum and provides high bandwidth up to 108Mbps with SuperG. It features high transmit output power (up to 600mW) and high receive sensitivity. High output power and high sensitivity can extend range and coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points and to deliver a more stable wireless connection. It also reduces deployment expenses on the equipment. With Power Output up to 28dBm you are able to extend range and coverage and It also has Transmit Power Control which is helpful in restricting the coverage area of the wireless network. This device supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) (IEEE802.3af) which allows you the flexibility in Access Point locations and cost savings in your installation (PoE device is not included). This device can be setup with up to 4 different names (SSIDs) which permits different levels of network access (VLAN Tagging). The Embedded Antenna delivers powerful directional coverage.

To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filtering lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. In addition, the User Isolation function can protect the private network between client users.
