Extend your wireless network range with this EnGenius EOC-5610 Business Class Outdoor Wireless 802.11a/b/g Access Point/Client Bridge/Client Router with embedded 13dbi(802.11a) and 5dBi(802.11b/g) Wireless Directional Patch Antenna and RP-SMA Connectors for an optional External Antenna. This device is a 5GHz(80-2.11a) and 2.4GHz(802.11b/g) Dual Band High Power (600mW maximum) Wireless Radio Access Point and Client Bridge with Embedded 13dBi(802.11a) and 5dBi(8-002.11b/g) panel antenna and External Connector for optional Directional or Omni-directional Antenna. External antennas can provide increased range and and receive sensitivity. Also included is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) device to meet your need for cable distance from the inside of your building to the device's outside installation (up to 300 feet or 90 meters). The device in a weatherproof enclosure offers a cost-effective solution as a Backhaul device to create Point-to-Point and Point to Multi-Point solutions.

This business class device is a Long Range outdoor wireless Access Point / Client Bridge / Client Router that operates seamlessly in the 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequency spectrum and provides high bandwidth up to 108Mbps with SuperG (802.11g) (Note: to operate at Super-G speeds the associated device must be capable of SuperG operation). It features high transmit output power (up to 600mW) and high receive sensitivity. High output power and high sensitivity can extend range and coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points and to deliver a more stable wireless connection. It also reduces deployment expenses on the equipment. It supports distance control and can transmit a signal up to 5 miles (8km) and the RSSI indicator, which enable the best transmit and receive signals for superior wireless performance (distance covered is line-of-sight with external directional antennas and is affected by obstructions and terrain and devices used in-between sending and receiving sites). This outdoor device comes with a PoE injector (24V) for easy outdoor deployment and the Power Adapter accepts 100-240VAC input which allows it to work anywhere in the world. To use it outside of North America all you will need is a plug adapter that allows you to plug a standard USA type plug into your country's electrical mains.

To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filtering lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. In addition, the User Isolation function can protect the private network between client users. This is a feature-rich and all-in-one outdoor device, it is the perfect solution for any outdoor application you may have. And if you want to create specialized software the device is compatible with DD-WRT porting software.

Set up or extend your wireless network with this outdoor 802.11a/b/g compliant broadband access point and client bridge. It features an all-weather case for setting up outdoor your hotspot. Operating in the 5GHz (802.11a) band allows you to avoid interference from 802.11b/g network devices. Note: to use the 802.11a band you require wireless devices that are capable of operating on the 802.11a band. The 2.4 GHz wireless frequency and 54 Mbps wireless transfer speed gives you the latest in wireless technology. It's also compatible with older 802.11b specifications. The unit includes a protected Ethernet connection to prevent water damage outdoors. The broadband router and access point/client bridge signals are boosted by a built-in 13dBi (802.11a / 5 dBi (802.11b/g) patch antenna or you can connect an external directional or omni-directional antenna (external antenna not included). You can set-up your own high-speed wireless hotspot anywhere today. You can mount the device on a pole with the supplied mounting hardware. You just need to connect the router/access point to a DSL/Cable modem or switch to access the internet. Standard CAT-5 or CAT-6, 8-conductor Ethernet cable is required (which should not exceed 300 feet or 90 meters) is not included. A Pole Mounting strap and Wall Mounting screws with plastic sleeve anchors are included in the package. This device increases the effective range and coverage area of a 802.11a or b or g network. When used with other 802.11a devices (or as a Backhaul device with the EnGenius EOR-7550) you can create a powerful and effective point-to-point or point-to-multi-point network.
